Almost 4% of global population suffers from one of over 80 autoimmune diseases.

Common autoimmune diseases like type 1 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and lupus rank third in causing chronic illness in the US. Despite their rarity, the NIH estimates they affect 5-8% of the US population. The incidence of these diseases is mysteriously rising.

Our Purpose, Mission and Vision

The Mickey Melba Autoimmune Research Foundation has been developed to advance efforts of raising awareness and preventing misdiagnosis for people living with an autoimmune disorder.
